Current representative: The current representative for the 71st District is Rep. Angela Witwer (D-Delta Township). The district covers much of Eaton County, including Charlotte, Olivet, Potterville, Grand Ledge and parts of Lansing. Witwer previously co-founded Edge Partnerships, a public relations, marketing and advocacy group and served on the Waverly Community Schools Board of Education.

Rep. Witwer was first elected to the Michigan House in 2018, taking office in 2019.
