Lt. Gov. Brian Calley

About: Lt. Gov. Brian Calley, a Republican, was first elected as Gov. Rick Snyder's running mate in 2010. According to his official biography, Calley previously served two terms in the Michigan House of Representatives and two terms as an Ionia County commissioner. He also previously worked in community banking. Calley's wife, Julie, was elected to the Michigan House in 2016.

Calley raises money through a candidate committee for lieutenant governor, Brian Calley for Michigan. In November 2017, he launched a candidate committee to run for governor, Brian Calley for Governor. He is also connected to an independent political action committee (PAC) called MIPAC, which began running digital advertisements in support of Calley in April 2017. MIPAC formed in 2015.

A Super PAC supporting Calley's run for governor called Calley Continues Comeback Inc. launched in March 2018. The Super PAC acts independently of Calley's campaign. However, its donors are included on this list because Calley could be raising money for it and because it is focused on supporting Calley. Calley lost in the 2018 primary election in the race for governror.
