Current representative: The current representative of the 36th District is Rep. Douglas Wozniak (R-Shelby Twp.). The district includes Bruce, Washington and portions of Shelby Twp. and the Village of Romeo. According to his official website, Wozniak is a small business owner and a practicing attorney at his own law firm. He is also a licensed insurance agent, realtor and broker, the website says.

Rep. Wozniak was first elected to the House in 2018, taking office in 2019.
