Current representative: The current representative for the 78th District is Rep. Brad Paquette (R-Berrien Springs). The districts covers portions of Berrien and Cass counties, including the cities Niles, New Buffalo and Buchanan, according to House Republicans. Paquette previously worked as an educator, teaching at Niles New Tech Entrepreneurial Academy, according to his official website.

Rep. Paquettte first won election to the House in 2018, taking office in 2019.
